Brian Fuentes Close to Finalizing 2-Year Deal With A’s

The Oakland Athletics are close to finalizing a two-year deal with left-handed reliever Brian Fuentes, a major league source told FanHouse.
The deal is also expected to include an option for a third season with the A’s.
Fuentes, who finished the 2010 season with the AL Central champion Twins, has closing experience and is plenty familiar with the AL West, having spent part of each of the last two years with the Angels.
