Rex Ryan Confirms QB Mark Sanchez Will Start for Jets Sunday in Chicago

A lot can change in 24 hours, and that’s precisely what happened regarding New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez’s injured right throwing shoulder.
One day after expressing concern over the seriousness of the cartilage tear in Sanchez’s shoulder and saying it would be a game-time decision as to whether Sanchez plays against the Chicago Bears, Jets coach Rex Ryan named him the starter. Apparently, Sanchez is a fast healer as he was throwing the ball a lot better on Friday in practice.
“The treatment has been working,” Sanchez said after practice. “I felt better than the two prior and I’m going to be ready to play on Sunday. It felt good, really good. I felt better than yesterday and I warmed up well. I threw it just like I did the week before and throughout the season.”
